The annual EXPOLINGUA Berlin is the only international fair for languages and cultures in Europe’s German-speaking region.

The 21st EXPOLINGUA Berlin will take place November 14–16, 2008.

For over two decades, EXPOLINGUA Berlin has been offering exhibitors an ideal platform to present products and services related to language learning and teaching as well as cultural education. The exhibition’s success is reflected in numbers: more than 150 exhibitors from 30+ countries and more than 15,000 visitors now attend the event! These numbers have been growing every year without exception.

At EXPOLINGUA Berlin, exhibitors provide first-hand information on foreign language learning and teaching as well as on different cultures. Exhibitors include:

  • Language schools from around the world
  • Language travel agencies
  • Embassies, cultural institutes, and tourist offices
  • Exchange organisations
  • National and international universities and colleges
  • Language tests providers
  • Producers of software for computer-assisted language learning and translation
  • Publishers

More than 50 languages are represented at the exhibition. Among the roughly 15,000 visitors who attend are:

  • Secondary school students
  • Graduate and undergraduate students
  • Teachers, tutors, and professors
  • Translators and interpreters
  • Employees and senior citizens interested in language learning and exploring different cultures
  • Language travel agents

Visitors come to EXPOLINGUA Berlin to get expert advice on the wide-ranging options for learning and teaching foreign languages, as well as to participate in targeted networking with professionals in the language training industry. Language teachers, HR and training specialists, language travel agents, publishers, schools and cultural institutes come to EXPOLINGUA Berlin to make new contacts and refresh existing relationships.

Parallel to the exhibition, EXPOLINGUA Berlin’s seminar programme offers visitors a rich and varied series of lectures, workshops and mini-language courses. Visitors can choose from more than 80 presentations covering topics such as studying and working abroad, language tests and international educational programmes.

On the last day of the exhibition, you are more than welcome to attend the varied cultural programme rounds off the exhibition each year, including film screenings.
